I know its late, but I didn't really feel like updating my Journal on New Years' Day. (it was like 5pm when I woke up, too)

But anyway, here I am, wishing those who come across my Journal a Happy 2009. Despite all the happenings around us, may we all get through it without problems.

I'm not good with past-year reflections, but I can always give it a shot.

2008:
- I finished off my first Uni year in a rather comfortable position, having passed all of my modules and being allowed to upgrade my course to the Honours Degree course of the same name. (Internet & Business Technology)

- I've not been into gaming all that much lately... Valkyria Chronicles cured that, for a while; it is a really beautiful game, to be sure and has a wonderful storyline. (which I'm hoping Sega will take advantage of and make an Anime or Manga from it. I would so buy it!)

- By November, it had been a whole year since my Nannan had passed away. Though I'm not uncomfortable hearing or saying it any more, family makes it hard to forget as the event that shattered the few links we had keeping it (more or less) completely intact. Not to mention to despicable acts that are currently happening within.

- Kristen's computer packed in, so we've not talked a whole lot, this year... but she did send me a letter, saying that she's really missing me. Naturally, I'm missing her, as well. It doesn't really feel right, her not being online to talk to, but nonetheless, we've decided to send letters to each other, until she manages to get her computer problems sorted out, or better yet, we get meet each other before then... heheheh.

- My writing really took it in the rear in the latter stages of 2008; I've done nothing since the update I made on "The White Curse" back in early November. But I'm changing that, and have recently continued with my main project. Soon, I'll get "The White Curse" rolling with some ACTUAL submissions, once I get everything sorted for it. So stay tuned, this 2009!

- I decided to obtain a 360. Strange, seeing as I'm not the biggest fan of the console, but even I can't deny that there are some good exclusives out for it. To name a couple, Lost Odyssey and The Last Remnant... though I do believe the latter is a timed-exclusive, and will be released on the PS3 in the future, but whatever. (I'll do PS3-Payback when I get Eternal Sonata for the PS3! ) One thing I refuse to do, though, is pay for a Gold Membership. The 360 isn't THAT appealing to me.

- 2008 was the year of ideas; not completion, it would seem, so it was a terrible judgement for me to have said I would complete my main project during that year. I've gained sooooo many new ideas for the story, its pushed it waaaaay back.

For 2009, I'm going to start saving like crazy and get some kind of part-time job. You know... I've got places to go... people to meet... *cough* I need money! D= I'm also going to be focusing on my writing when I'm not doing University stuff... or talking to Kristen via whichever way we'll be talking.
